ANGELS OF MISSION

The Cast: Charmaine Sheh Sonija Kwok Shirley Yeung Patrick Tam Timmy Hung Stephen Au Gilbert Lam Sek Sau Claire Yiu
Charmaine Sheh, Sonija Kwok, and Shirley Yeung fit their roles perfectly and I find this series quite amazing. If I can revise any of the three angels, I would skip the opportunity and keep all three. The fact that this series focuses on fighting terrorism separates it from other cop dramas. “Angels of Mission” is a series you can’t skip, otherwise you’ll be missing out on one of TVB’s better series.
Brief Summary: Sonija Kwok is the head supervisor of CTU (Counter-Terrorist Unit). After several incidents, she decides to let Charmaine and Shirley be part of the CTU team. The main reasons they are chosen is that Charmaine has superior karate and driving skills, while Shirley has the perfect aim (she is a professional shooter). With the three “angels” coming together, they will fight against any terrorist attacks.

The Cases: - The first case is the best case among them all, with Sek Sau being the villain and Charmaine going undercover.
- The second case is the anthrax threat. Cheung Chi Kwong delivers quite a touching performance. This is the case where Shirley is the most involved.
- The third case involves political assassination. Stephen Au and Charmaine really shine in this case!
- The fourth and last main case is Sek Sau’s return from imprisonment. It’s quite good but has a rather poor solution.
Opinions on the Cast : Charmaine Sheh – Delivers a remarkable performance that is quite unique from her previous roles. Her character is funny and likeable; I don’t think anyone will dislike this character because she's simply great. Many of my friends enjoy her in this series more than any other series.
Character synopsis: Charmaine has great martial arts and is very good at driving. She has a short temper and therefore usually gets complaints.
Sonija Kwok – Here she is a lot more likeable as the madam of CTU. Among the three, she appears as the most elegant and high-class “angel”. Her acting has improved somewhat but I still prefer her with villainess roles.
Character synopsis: Being the head supervisor, she’s very professional with her work and is basically a great leader. However, her personal life is completely different, giving a “yuk” feeling.
Shirley Yeung – Among the three, I see the most improvement with Shirley. She’s really cute in here but can be annoying.
Character synopsis: A great shooter with perfect aim. She’s quick and intelligent but wishes for easy and comfortable work. She’s the youngest of the three and so she is treated as like a little sister.
PS I do not own this review.
