Cast:
Marianne Chan
Anne Heung
Eddie Cheung
Marco Ngai
Mak Cheung Ching
Introduction:
In the beginning both Marianne and Anne are the worst looking girls in the whole village; but personality-wise, Anne is nice and courteous while Marianne is evil and would do anything to get her way. In reality, Anne doesn’t look ugly at all; she disguises her beauty with makeup so that Marianne won't feel bad and also so her father won't marry her off too soon.
By chance, the King comes to the village disguised as a commoner. Somehow, Anne saves the King and he finds out that she is actually pretty. Having fallen for her personality and beauty, he sents his people to bring her to him when he returns to the palace.
As for Marianne, she gets jealous after finding out that Anne is actually pretty, and even more so when she finds out that the King likes her. Marianne goes to Marco Ngai who knows how to switch bodies. And so it starts, for the rest of the series, Marianne is Anne (the good girl) and Anne is now the evil Marianne.

Character Analysis:
Marianne Chan
She has to be the best actress at TVB; she can portray both nice and evil characters with ease. Her character has so much depth and has to go through a lot. However, sometimes I just feel that her character is unbelievably nice. Imagine if someone took your husband and son away, you would probably go mad and want to kill her. Well anyway, Marianne did a great job with her part.
Anne Heung
Her first try at being evil, but I found her acting lacking tremendously, compared to Marianne. Every time she was mad, all you would see are those big eyes and her expressionless face. It was a good try though.
Eddie Cheung
He is the King; and his character is just utterly annoying. Sometimes I really wanted to jump into the scene and kick his a**. However, as for the acting, quite good as he is a veteran.
Marco Ngai
Somewhat of a useless character, didn’t do much throughout the series except help Anne and appears a little more later in the series.
Evergreen Mak
Pretty funny character, he was with Marianne and helped her get through all the bad things that happened; and was the first one who believed what she said. He knows her for her personality and character rather than what she looks like. Great acting and he really deserves more recognition.
The Plot:
Quite long. I expected the series to be over after Marianne returned to the palace but it went on to talk about the children. The dialogue was also longer than normal, unlike typical TVB series. However, I found them somewhat necessary for this series.
