This drama have a tragic ending, but it is funny throughout the drama (I guess), because I don't remember much about this movie, because I watch it when I was so small. Sorry I can't find the themesong video on youtube, so I don't have a video for this review.
Cast: Dayo Wong
Ada Choi
Michael Tong
Marco Ngai
Characters: Dayo is a smart, logical, funny and calm detective. But he has one weakness. He is physically slow and weak, which is a big problem when chasing the bad guys. But he uses his wit to solve the cases at hand. I love the bits at the end where they show how he solves the cases.
Ada is an insurance agent. When she first met Dayo, they hated each other. But fate always throws them together. First, she thinks she is being photographed in the toilet. Then she is accused of stealing. Then she is accused of killing her boss Simon. All in one day!
Michael is a personal trainer at the gym that both Dayo and Ada go to train. He has a huge crush on Ada, but Ada has no feelings towards him whatsoever.
Marco is Ada's the rival at her insurance company. They both hate each other a lot. And he is a character that you could easily hate him. But he keeps getting accused of things. That is when you do begin to feel sorry for him.
"To Catch the Uncatchable" is a story of crimes and how they are solved. Although the crimes are pretty predictable, it is still a good show, especially how Ada and Dayo begin falling in love with each other.
Chemistry: Dayo and Ada They are so funny. The whole series is based on the development of their relationship. From the moment they meet, you know that they are going to get together. And the problems they have to face together add spice to the serial.
Ada and Michael I hated them together. Michael was so annoying. And he couldn't take the hint. I hated it when he went up to Ada's office and proposed to her, with Dayo standing there! I was so mad that I threw a pillow at the TV!
The Ending: I don't know why the ending was like that. But it was really tragic! It was so sad when Dayo faded away from the photo and then they rolled the credits.
Performances:
Dayo Wong So good. He is so funny. And he adapts to this character so easily. I loved watching him on screen. He slips into playing the smart, witty, funny detective so easily. And the way he cares for Ada when she is in jail towards the end is very sweet.
Ada Choi I really like watching Ada. I've been a very big fan of Ada since I saw her in AR III. And her performace in To Catch the Uncatchable was flawless. She was funny and you could tell she really likes Dayo's character towards the end.
Best Scenes 1. When Dayo proposes to Ada in the hospital 2. At the end of each case, where Dayo explains how he solves the cases. 3. When Dayo and Ada first meet, it is funny. 4. Any scene with Si sir in it. 5. The scene where Ada tells Michael that he is not her 'cup of tea', or anytime that she mentions that he is not her 'cup of tea' to Dayo.
Final Comments: I really loved this show! It is a must-watch if you like detective serials or just laughing at the relationship between Dayo and Ada.
